Alfred Goldberg to Mentor Vets on their Startup Ideas at the Fourth Annual HCC Veterans Entrepreneurship Program

Goldberg to give marketing advice to Veterans for taking their startups to the next level

TAMPA, FL. (November 3, 2016) – Community business leader and entrepreneur Alfred Goldberg will be a key speaker at this year’s Veteran’s Entrepreneurship Training Symposium (VETS) hosted by the Hillsborough Community College Ybor campus as part of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. Goldberg will be mentoring participants on a variety of business challenges and how to overcome them, how to leverage opportunities to further business goals, and more, in a fun-filled day of learning, networking and empowerment. The event takes place Saturday, November 5^th from 10-4.

“There are many valuable skills that our Vets have gained during their military service, however marketing is rarely one of these,” says Goldberg. “It gives me the greatest pleasure to provide guidance and support to those who have given so much to this great country.”

Goldberg is the President of Absolute Marketing Solutions, a digital agency founded in 1999 with currently three offices worldwide. Goldberg has extensive experience mentoring and consulting businesses on digital strategies across dozens of industries from manufacturing, to mobile marketing and more. As Chairman of the Tampa Bay WaVE, Goldberg is deeply involved with the local startup scene and provides insights to those involved in their accelerator programs.

The event, currently in its fourth year, is free and open to all veterans, active duty service members, and their spouses. The symposium concludes with a Business Pitch Competition, where participants pitch their business concepts for $10,000.00 in cash prizes. Entrants’ pitches will be judged based on their uniqueness, feasibility and the ability to impact people and society.
