Project Overview

1920 Ybor City is a vibrant, multi-use venue in Tampa’s historic Ybor City, known for its live music, immersive art experiences, and private events. The client needed a modern, visually rich website that would showcase the venue's character, attract event bookings, and promote upcoming shows and exhibitions.

Our goal was to build a platform that captured the authenticity and energy of the space while making it simple for users to learn about the venue, browse events, and inquire about hosting their own.

Objectives

  • Create a visually impactful design that reflects the venue's eclectic, urban vibe

  • Make it easy to book private events and showcase the venue’s capabilities

  • Highlight live music and art as central experiences

  • Ensure the site is mobile-responsive and easy to update

Our Approach

We kicked off the project with a visual discovery phase, drawing inspiration from the venue’s raw brick architecture, vintage signage, and underground art scene. Using bold typography, moody color palettes, and dynamic photography, we built a site that feels alive—just like 1920 itself.

We implemented a WordPress CMS for easy updates and added forms for booking and event inquiries, as well as sections for showcasing upcoming performances and past events.
