The 54-hour Entrepreneurial Event Takes Place on November 13-15 at the University of Tampa Entrepreneur Center
TAMPA, FL. (November 12, 2015) – This weekend, Absolute Marketing Solutions will help entrepreneurs race against the clock to gather ideas, collaborate concepts and present the “next big thing” at Startup Weekend Tampa. The Tampa digital marketing agency is a sponsor for the 54-hour weekend event in which groups of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and others pitch ideas for new startup companies. Participants will form teams around various ideas, and develop a working prototype, demo, and presentation by Sunday evening. The event starts on Friday, November 13th and runs through Sunday, November 15th at the University of Tampa’s John P. Lowth Entrepreneur Center, 8th Floor, Innovation & Collaboration Building.
“We always support events like Startup Weekend because they are so important to the local business community,” said Alfred Goldberg, president of Absolute Marketing Solutions. “As Startup Weekend continues to grow and become part of the Tampa entrepreneurial ecosystem, we are happy and excited to be a part of it.”
During Startup Weekend, the public is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams are formed based on their interest in the most popular ideas (as determined by vote). Those teams then begin a three-day process, including business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders. Startup Weekend Tampa has a growing reputation for producing companies that garner national attention, including mobile-first ticketing company Eventjoy.
“We are excited and thankful for Absolute Marketing Solutions’ contributions to Startup Weekend Tampa and to our local startup community as a whole,” said Trey Steinhoff, director of Startup Weekend Tampa. “With their help and the help of other local business leaders, Tampa Bay is building a culture of entrepreneurial innovation and excellence.”
